ramsgate appeal

Good luck in your appeal btw Rams-it does seem a bit harsh and inconsistent considering AFC Wimbledon played an illegible player a couple of seasons ago in which the games that he played in they gleaned 18 points but then had it reduced to a tiny amount thus denying us a play off spot etc...

Blue steel, why are we obviously guilty, as you say, ..if we are guilty (and it has to yet provened) it is off making a mistake perhaps,...im not sure of this doubling of penalty points you seek if we fail, but we will find out soon im sure off the outcome soon,...Thanks to Unchin Princess 2... also ive stated elsewhere we must have a case if we gone to appeal,

I think that now they have decided to appeal there's every chance that they will get this overturned.Advice from the highest order must be saying this.As the paper mentions its going to be costly though.

Relegation does look to be on the cards for them though even without a loss of 4 points so I hope they know what they are doing but I suppose they have to give themselves every chance of staying up.Provided they can really afford to then why shouldn't they.

Can't blame them.I'm sure if we had a points deduction we would be doing our utmost to reverse that decision too, provided we could afford it that is.

I simply wish both thanet sides to stay in the premiership on merit.

As time goes on though, does it look increasingly likely that the fourth relegation spot will be between the two thanet clubs ?

Come what mey, does this set up Easter Monday's fixture as the 'relegation decider'?

(Margate have got to do everything between now and then to get points to avoid that deadly scenario )

Could Easter mondays crowd thereby exceed 1600 ?

If our capacity is 2000 ,could it even need to be all ticket unbelievable as that sounds ?

Correction Ian we did not have it reversed as we never went into Administration it was just a possiblity.

As for SSS and Welshbob comments the post was censored by another Moderator as it was insulting to Ramsgate FC and their fans who, if you remember, very kindly donated to our fighting appeal which enabled us to escape our Admin Order and thus not lose 10 points.

I saw the initial post by SSS - which effectively said that Rams are appealing against the 4 point deduction, then said something like 'hope they lose the appeal'.

Now the post has been edited by our new Moderator to exclude the negative comment - WHY ???

Can TonyM explain ???

SSS was not using foul or offensive language, he just put across a point of view which was contentious - enough to start a debate as to whether the decision to deduct the points was legitimate. His remark was not as controversial as some of the rubbish spouted on the MARGATE forum by RAMS supporters such as Ian Sanderson, Mace & Rob Butler.

Message to BlueGate Alan - can you explain to TonyM the objectives of a Moderator & explain that he shouldn't suppress debate just because a remark is contentious.

For the record I do not agree with the post he made, but I do believe he should have the right to post it & not be censored.
