Let's write to the local paper!

I thought the team did extremely well today - let's face it we could have gone about three down in the first half but we didn't and the team grew in confidence as the game went on.

 

We had a pretty good support today, 407, but obviously it can always be better.

 

Given that we have a number of young and what I understand to be local players now making the first team, and acquitting themselves well, perhaps the target for our pens (or keyboards) should be the Isle of Thanet Gazette. Not because they have done anything wrong but simply because on here we are preaching to the converted whereas letters to the IOTG might just encourage those people who could make a little effort and turn out to support the team to do so. They don't, of course, all have internet facilities.

 

I shall be writing to the IOTG along these lines.

Mine has now gone as well - let's hope that others follow suit and we can encourage even more local people (or from anywhere come to that) to swell our numbers and give those lads on the pitch, as well as those off it, management etc., the support and encouragement that their efforts deserve.
