just thought id start a thread on how well our youth policy is looking. My son is at the Ursuline Academy and has been for two years. The players coming through so far are, joe taylor, chris lewis, shane brown, aaron quain, sammy cliff, ollie gray, if you also add players that have come through our under 18s paul axon, luke wheatly, curtis robinson, olti keci, elliott payne, jason mcaree you have got to say that the future looks good. if im correct generationsports have been with the club 2 years and i think we are getting some good players through their coaching methods. Maybe in a few years we will have a team of good locals wearing the gates badge.

Spot on goal-line I think Generation Sports is a great success and one by one they are making our 1st XI. Plus with the age of them all they're going to get stronger and stronger and should take us higher and higher up the football pyramid.

To see these young lads playing in the reserves like I have over the past few seasons and see a lot of them progessing into the first team is tremendous. I urge anyone who hasn't been to a reserve game to come along and watch these lads, well worth the

Agree wholeheartedly with what has already been said. Great to see these young lads coming through and making a real impression in the first team. Robinson and Pratt were superb yesterday, to name but two. And Taylor had a big part to play in the second goal, putting pressure on the keeper. Add in the likes of Quain, Wheatley (superb yesterday, I thought) and glowing reports from many who watch reserve games and, if we can keep these lads together, our future on the pitch looks bright.

A reserve game coming this Tuesday night I think. Well worth the admission. The support is extremely welcome as the costs of paying the officials have to be met, and these games are vital for the youngsters development. We're really reaping the rewards for the hard work put in by MW and co, and not least the players themselves.

I've got to go and work in Portmouth Tuesday Porka but hope I'll be back to see part if not all of the game.

Gen Sports stuck another 6 in again this weekend. 2 of which were scored by their mentor Phil Fennell, from the edge of the box. Others on the scoresheet were Paul Axon, Dan Hughes, Saul Anderton and my lad Jason McAree.

Phil spends a lot of his spare time with these lads and deserves a special mention. His endeavours are proving very fruitful to the lads and Margate Football Club. All the lads love him and he always seems to have plenty of time to talk to players, parents and supporters.

On top of this Mark Weatherley passing his knowledge and know how to the boys is proving to be a masterstroke.

Does this mean we can have Peter Crouch on loan for the rest of the seasonwink

Joseba we don't need him because we've got our very own home grown Joe Taylor coming through to play that role. druff
