Blues V Tonbridge Falling Angels * THIS GAME OFF *

Recommended Posts

it will affect the side initially but after a couple of weeks the players bodies will get used to it and their fitness will surely increase. You are right i have not played football at any decent level but with any fitness the more you do something the easier and better you become. As i say, players are used to playing twice a week, one more game a week shouldn't affect them too much, its survival of the fittest out there chaps

We've 18 league games left and a quick look at the calender shows there to be 10 Saturdays & 9 Tuesdays (excluding tomorrow)available up to & including Saturday 25th April, which is the scheduled last day.

So we're already at 2 per week with one spare midweek date in terms of league games. Throw the league cup and further cancellations due to weather in to the mix and we're more than likely going to have the odd Thursday as well.

And then there's the Thameside Trophy!

maybe, but its something we will all have to live with this season. At least i won't be bored midweek come march/april.Although the missus won't be too happy.

What chance is the game being on tomorrow seeing as we have non stop rain/sleet and snow forecast up to kick off????

what chance the game being on? are you winding me up,...hahahaha

At least a quarter of the pitch is covered, so I would like to think there will be a good chance.

But there is no point in speculating today, tomorrow we will have a look at the uncovered area's and have a peek under the covered bit's before making any kind of judgement...and than we will have to ask a referee...or two, then factor in if there will be an assesor, get out the slideometer, give marlks out of ten for artistic impression and divide the whole lot by pi.

Still bitter?...who dear, me dear, no dear, how very dare you

I feel for the kind folk who helped to get the match "on". It was a bitterly cold day so must have been freezing working early saturday. When Ryan texted to say game on i thought what a great effort by the folk. Looking at the pictures of the pitch - I mean ! Cmon ! We have played on far worse pitches both home and away ! And for there to be no ice either and no standing water...Poor effort by the official.

I was a little more fourtunate as i did get to see a game, but then it was played on a artificial surface.

Once again, well done to Mick, TC and ALL the volunteers. Your efforts deserved more from a Ryman official.

i think the clubs and fans need to unite over these games being called off.Maybe a campaign or something in the NLP or other media outlooks.

Games are being called off and the referees are getting paid for doing nothing but turning up to grounds and ruining peoples weekends.Fair enough, some games are unplayable but many more could be played. It is costing clubs money, games are being played on tuesdays instead of saturdays when the crowds are traditionally higher and it is all money that is being taken away from football.
