Ok it's Friday I'm out of work.... feel like singing and dancing AND I don't go back until next Thursday!!!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

Sooooo what exciting things has everyone got planned for the weekend now there's not much football about?

 

Cricket? ..... Enjoyable on a lovely sunny day, lying around, picnic basket, strawberries, chilled wine etc

 

 

Formula l? .....yeh can watch it at home or at the pub, OK for the first few laps but gets monotoneous, although must admit new rules have made this year slightly more exciting

 

Super League? ..... Basically a "Northern" thing although there are a few southern invaders..... only one team worth following though.

 

Me? Well I pick up my new car tomorrow morning... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> then it's off down the M62/M6 to visit parents and then continue down M6/M1/M25 to stay with eldest offspring for a few days.

Me and the weekend ??

 

F.1, mainly, and NO, if you follow it properly, it ain't boring after a few laps if you fully understand the sport. Very technical !

Rather boring society meeting tonight. Hope to sneak into pub afterwards.

 

Digging tomorrow. Taking Invisible Girl to collect her "new" car in evening. Hope to sneak into pub afterwards.

 

Sunday - probably digging, if not, writing a thing called a Project Design. Either way, hope to sneak into pub afterwards.

 

Cricket - gone off it in old age.

 

F1 - had a fling with it in youth, can't be arsed any more. Invisibles Firstborn and Student into it, the latter in a big time way, so my telly has little cars whizzing round and round very fast making irritated cat noises while I'm trying to work quite often.

 

Rugby League - no bloody way. All very suspect, I reckon. Not only egg-chasers but Northern egg-chasers.

Well Invisible. It's Saturday evening. The F.1 qualifying has finished. Ferrari front again.

Friday - went to meeting, snuck to pub.

 

Saturday - went off digging, got home, took Invisible Girl to fetch new car, chum rang up suggesting we collectivley snuck to pub.

 

Sunday - no digging or sneaking. There again didn't actually do any work either - never mind, long weekend next week...

I must admit, 'Her Indoors' and I got dragged to local club by our eldest daughter, then moved on to local hostelry.

Fear not. The new Mclaren is but a few weeks away.

 

Got a job interview with them this week, but it's the car part of TAG Mclaren, not the team. Still, pretyy cool and sexy job if I get it (which I doubt)
