And it was a great afternoon out. Determined play by the whole team,no-one hiding, challenged and chased everything,MOTM Mullins kept the Gate in it when under the cosh for last 25 mins of the first half, even with the sun in his eyes.

Feel sorry for those who didnt turn out to watch, they missed a treat.

Great value for the admission price.

The point was whoever did'nt go missed out BIG TIME and that was a shame for them and for the Gate's.

 

Could have convinced some to turn up again.

Lets be a bit realistic yeaterdays programme showed we are the third best supported club in the League and were before the start of the game third to the bottom. Our fan base is very good for our position, with an average gate of about 500, we know we have the potential for more as shown in other era's but we need to win games to make the fickle fans return and that is the same for every team.

 

Look at the average gates of Dartford compared to Maidstone, who is the bigger club ? or is it just a coincidence that a new ground in the home town brings its rewards with more through the gate. A message here i think, lets get our ground sorted and i am sure the gates will increase.

That is why I think writing to the local paper might encourage some interest. "They missed a treat" says it all and hopefully if, as I suspect is the case, the IOTG staff read this forum they will pick up on your use of words.
