If this news about Woolf is true ( no reason not to believe Hawker )I think it is a great shame.
He only signed mid Jan and has played 3 good games scoring 1 in which we only let in one goal.
Perhaps it was always his plan to use Town as a stepping stone between Ware and join up with his former Manager at Arlow !

We have only just sorted out the back with 3 good centre backs in Woolf, Stevenson and Wild and now 2 of those have gone in a week.
Wild starts a 3 game suspension now and there were noises last week that he won't be around at the end of his suspension !

Whilst we all now joke about the Revolving Door - is this not getting beyond a joke ?

I doubt if many Town supporters can recognise OR name their own players anymore.
I certainly could not - how about you ?

When is it going to stop and some stability take hold ???????

From my calculation ( Jim C please help )we have played a varioation of 12 players at center back this season.
Ojelabi, Whattley, Tickner, Campbell, Stevenson, Blewitt, Harvey, Tague, Keogh, Wild, Woolf and Hamilton.

Not including pre-season games.

Am I correct to suggest that only Keogh is still on our books - and he is / was injured !!

Yep Keogh is still injred as far as I saw and heard on Saturday. Wild says he is committed to the ETFC cause for the season so no reason why he wont be back for selection after his 3 mtch ban (silly sod).

 

But now seeing how Steve Browne works and the quality of contacts he has there is no reason not to expect him to sought out these short term issues accordingly.

 

Shame about the Woolf man going. But with fixtures being cancelled left right and centre it will give us some time to get in replacements for those who have deserted us.

 

I'e a feeling somethings are in the pipeline................nudge nudge wink wink.

David Allen can, of course, play in the centre of the defence, Reiss Noel played there at Chatham after Wild was sent off, and McKie played there against us for Potters Bar.

So we do have options other than spinning that door again.

PC's at Brimsdown permanently, Wattley somewhere in the Southern League (I think).

 

I'd have no problem if Nick MacCoy played at centre half.
