Too early for me too but when you are at home games the moaning never stops especially from the older supporters

It is very rarely anything positive is said which is a bit sad

when you see all the effort the lads are putting in.

Mind you they used to moan when we were at the other end of the league under Trotty so par for the course i guess.

what this club needs? is consistency, it needs a manager to stay in place and put together a close season.

What we need? is a programme of development throughout the said close season (we have a good base for next year, with others coming through).

More importantly, the club needs is to stay in existence, in this league? and someone, "Pagey"? (or a lottery win) to clear the debt.

Whatever happens I'd like to see Terry as Manager next season.

You can make a case that, taking the hotseat a third of the way into the season he has had to deal with signings made (or not made) that were not of his doing & that possible targets are not available due to contract restraints etc.

By being at the helm during close season he will be able to assemble his squad, as the majority of players at this level will probably be uncontracted through the summer. This should make it easier to recruit the type of player he wants and rid the Club of players he conciders to be dead wood. Then we'll be able to see a how he fares as a Manager at this level.

Whilst I think it is a shame that we are talking about next season's manager at this point, I can understand everyone's concerns.

What I would add, though, is that it is not a good idea for any football club to rely on any one person or organisation to provide funding for whatever the reason and for whatever the amount of time. Wouldn't it be great if (and this surely applies to pretty much every football club) the clubs basic costs were funded entirely from gate receipts. TV, raffles, other events could then be considered "bunce" for want of a better word.

Hang on, what are those things flying across the sky?

Terry will be around as long as the right people are around , if they are still here No Terry is my guess , will be a big shame if Terry wasn`t as i see him taking this club onwards once this season is out the way . There has been no time for him this season to work anything out even with his mass of experience but we will see . Up the Gate .

As pagey said, this is a what if,BUT,IMO..I think that MFC are really lucky to have a man as the likes of Terry Yorath as manager, the man is a legend and I hope that he will stay with the GATE.When RT got the sack,we were told that MFC would go for a manager with experience,we got BA..experience as manager..none?..I do belive that whatever happens this season,Terry IS the man to make MFC a great side again.

I thought Terry tried to resign a couple of weeks ago but Piper refused it. As for M weatherley doing it I can't see him ever being a first team manager again he loves the development side to much and working with the young lads on bringing them through.

I suppose it depends on what league we are in due to the finacial side more than the playing side to who would be best at bringing us back through the leagues.

Terry Yorath in the local today:

"The money situation is difficult at the moment, but we want to be playing in this division next season".

"With that in mind,I've got one eye on the next campaign".

That answers most questions I think.I reckon even if we did get relegated he would stick around & I for one am more than happy to know that.
