Question: Why don't supporters use the coaches anymore?

Could we have some feedback on this please, it may help us to understand as to why support for the coaches is so low at the moment, even the regulars have gone missing! Is it the price/times/I'll go if results are OK/ etc.... Any comments welcome.

In the meantime, please keep booking if you want seats for the above games.

Hope you got my last email re the Dartford game.

What is a shame is that the people/Fans that do book the coach end up not being able to go because of the lack of numbers that do sign up.

I would be willing to pay a bit more if the numbers were that close to making it viable.

Check out one trip from last year.

Come on let's get booking.

When the coaches were free to Margate we filled FOUR, but when it comes to paying we can't fill one.

The cost of driving is greater than the fuel alone, I just cant see that the cost difference between driving, and traveling by coach is significantly different.

Not having a regular coach to away games is a massive loss and damaging in my opinion, Traveling by coach encourages club spirit, togetherness, an all for oneness, if we lose these whats left?

The Guys who organise the travel really would like some feedback. PM them if you don't want your comments made public.

In my personal situation, travelling by coach is only cost effective if going to games alone and even then only the long distance games like Dover, Margate, Ramsgate, Horsham (at Worthing) are there a significant fuel cost saving compared to going by car. But how many fans go to games alone? If i go to an away game with my other half then even if its as far as Margate and having to pay the Dartford tolls both ways its still cheaper to drive. If we take my other halfs son then the cost saving is even greater. All the other closer away games are a no brainer to drive, unless, as i said, you are going to a game alone. What with then having to pay another

Some people also prefer to drive to away games because of reasons like, they prefer to be in the comfort of their own car, some coaches can be uncomfortable Etc.

Also I think results could have an impact on the coaches because obviously bad results could lose to support going down. Im not saying our club has had a lot of bad results this season.. but I am focusing on results such as the Hastings game away, Concord away, Canvey away.

Generally, a lot of clubs support has decreased this season. Two seasons ago we got to the Playoff final, all throughout that season we took at least 100 supporters to away games, now we rarely take 40 supporters away. I think people are too busy or have other things to do.

Thanks to those that have contributed so far, though we'd like to see more feedback. Please give us your opinion so that we can assess where we're going wrong or if we should call it a day on the coaches altogether.

We're still taking bookings for the Dartford/Tooting coaches, so please book if you would like a seat or seats. A return only for the Tooting coach is available (half price).
