Ramsgate vs Dover

Did anyone else subject themselves to Deadwood yesterday?

With no home game, for either our 1sts or reserves, and table topping Dover visiting Deadwood I decided to go along.

At the turnstiles long queue for away fans and no queue for home fans. Yet I could not force myself to join the home section and decided to join the long line. Most certainly wanted to see a Dover win and did not want to seem upset if Ramsgate were to score.

Once inside Dover were on top for the whole of the 1st half, even caught myself shouting on the 50-50 decisions in favour of Dover. Close to 1/2 time one of the Dover lads got himself sent off for his 2nd yellow. The first being a stupid one where he stood on the ball at a free kick. Rams no 10 gave him a push and both players went into the book.

This was the changing of the tide though and Ramsgate put on a much more spirited performance in the 2nd half without really testing the Dover keeper. Who I was informed is England's under 19s keeper in on loan from Millwall.

Anyhow I was absolutely frozen come the end of the game, never saw a single goal, and p!ssed off that Dover didn't win.

On the way out I thought to myself why did I subject myself to this? Conclusion I love to watch football.

In future though please let there either be a 1st or reserve game on at Hartsdown, as I really don't want to experience Deadwood again.

I ventured there too Hippy & also joined the away contingent.As you say it was a game of football,though to be honest there wasn't much of that yesterday,just hoofing the ball forward (mainly from Dover most of the time,unbelievably).
