kit clashes?!?!?!

Just watching match of the day and notice that Man City and Stoke are wearing the same colour shorts. Now I thought you couldn't have clashing shirts shorts or stockings (as they always used to insist on calling them he he!!)Come on malcolm you must know

It is true, no part of the kit 'should' clash. If there is a clash between shorts and socks then a referee may allow it if no alternative can be found, but I would have thought that a team the size of Stoke would have had a spare set of shorts they could have changed into.

I remeber watching Man Utd V's Arsenal at Old Trafford a few years agao (you know when Arsenal were a great side and not an average side which they have become...) Mark Bosnich was in goal in a yellow jersey and the Arsenal team came out in a yellow kit. Some messing around later an out of breath kit man comes running on to the pitch with an old jersey of Peter Smichael's. It was the old green sleved blue centred jersey and you could see where they had scrapped the name Smichael from the back.

 

Perhaps the Stoke or City side should have been forced to wear some second hand retro short, shorts!

i remember in the late 90s newcastle were away (cant remember who there opponents were) and they both had black shorts so newcastle sent the kit man to a local sports store to buy 15 pairs of white shorts!!!

Again Newcastle and Sunderland both had clashing shorts on Sunday, I am afraid this just isn't good enough, maybe some sort of punishment for clubs who do this like having to get their kit from the lost andd found, or having to play in pants and vest, just so they don't do it again!!!
