A battling performance by the Citizens at Herns Lane this afternoon saw them take all the points from the game against Tring Athletic scoring 3 goals in the last 10 minutes.

 

Welwyn found themselves a goal behind after just 23 seconds when Mark Burfoot scored a sucker punch goal against youth keeper Daryl Vas, standing in for the unavailable Rob Blackburne.

 

The home side had all the possession for the rest of the first half, Stuart Blackburne had the ball taken off his toe when set to shoot after 5 minutes and 10 minutes later the lithe striker was given off side when through on goal.
