As the nearest person on the pitch to the 8 tackle can honestly say is wasnt bad, in fact the 8 actually got his foot to the ball before going through the player. The receiving player stamped on 8 and then rolled around on floor as if to suggest he was playing in La Liga! The kind of challenge that happens at least once in every cc league game and i think the full back got his own back in a couple of his own tackles

I accept that from varying views things look different, however, the way the ref blew up, it seemed he was going to red the 8, he then seemed to be swayed by your intervention Birdseye if you were the 6??
There were a few iffy tackles that the ref let go when he could have yellowed, particularly on RP's winger 7.
Still dont really see what the furore about the ref was in this game, other than that he was decent I thought. Maybe you were swayed from the previous time you had him? You will certainly get much worse than him and he was better than both the 2 teams on show, which wasnt hard as they were both awful on the day.

Fair comment thought it was a poor match and re ref situation i think i can say that i havent had a good ref apart from 1 all season. A couple of decent ones, its like refs always justify their decisions as letter of the law but in some situations a bit of common sense required. Also when you look at these refs you can tell none of them have kicked a ball, so they are never going to understand the game fully.

Can't say that I saw you at the game Kroons, but then again I wasn't looking out for you.

IMO, yeah we were lucky to come away with a draw based on chances, but have scored so late in the game we were understandably initially gutted, but once we spoke about it after we had to be happy with a point.

Although Cove created chances there were only 3 shots on target, so I wasn't exactly overworked in that sense.

No complaints from me re the goal as I collided with a defender and striker just as I caught the ball resulting in me spilling it. No foul IMO. Was a bit gutted when heard more than one person on the side say it was offside though!

Felt out youth team CB pairing coped well enough though, esp as one was making his debut!

Following RP. Totally agree that at this level, I have not seen too many good refs. Its more to do with their attitude to club officials and players in general really. You fully accept that if the top guys can make mistakes then at this level we are going to see plenty but some of their mistakes are just laughable, in some cases it is all about the ref it seems. In fairness to the refs, the assistants are generally worse by a mile. Your lot battled back well and could do even better with a bit more discipline. Good Luck for the rest of the season.

That ref has history with Bedfont, every game he has reffed he has sent off at least one player.
yes i agree with you sundance on the one thing that 8 was lucky to stay on thats why he was subbed, however the tackle was spitting image to gerrards on sunday and he didnt even get a yellow

gerrard didnt get the ball, i won the ball.

I make you right yellow dog, but like i said you never know what the ref is gonna do these days especially the one we had on Sat,It was a nothing tackle you won the ball looked worse than what it was end of.

That wont be the last tackle thats made like that.
