Wembley 2 v 0 Camberley.

 

Went to Cove today. Cove dominated the 1st half and had 3 or 4 good chances but poor finishing, good defending and a couple of decent saves from Jurg kept the score blank. 2nd half much the same and how Coves 9 (Childs ?) missed one of the chances amazed me. As is the way Cobham broke away and scored a great goal with 3 minutes to go only for Cove to snatch a draw at the death with a last second goal that looked offside to me but to be fair nothing less than Cove deserved really but was impressed with Cobham's never say die attitude. Bit of banter flying around at the end as well between Duncs and the Cobham bench !!!

Stag Meadow has been given the FA Grade D (Grade E was required) so no probs for next season if we were to win promo. A long long way to go though and some great sides left to play starting with Cove on Tuesday. Let me know if you fancy coming, I'll leave your name on the gate...

Shocking result for Cove today. Absolutely dominated the whole match. Couldnt score in a brothel!!

 

Earlier in the season we beat Bedfont Green 3-0. We had 3 chances and put all of them away. We beat Chertski 3-2. Had 3 good chances and scored them all. Drew with Epsom 2-2. Had 2 or 3 chances and scored 2 of them. Battered Banstead when they were at the time unbeaten cos we took our chances.

 

NOW THE MOAN!!

Played Cobham early doors. Drew 2-2. Had 10 great chances to score but only converted 2 for a draw. Played Egham , same story but lost. Played Sandhurst, same story but drew. Played Banstead, had 15 good chances, only scored 3, played Cobham today, had at least 10 shots inside the box, 1 one on one, 1 open goal but only scored 1 with about 10 seconds to go for a dissapointing draw!!

 

Anyone see the pattern? We take our chances against the best teams and squander one after one against the lower down the league teams.

 

Sorry about the moan. Just p1ssed off!! Jurg had a very good game until he dropped the ball to allow us our equaliser.

Up until then he was very good.

Jurgs never dropped it, has he took control of it a cove player barged him and caused it to spill seen free kicks given for less contact.
thats twice this season that you have grabbed an equaliser in added on time

its twice we have battered you the whole match, had 10 or so good chances and let you off with a draw!! You cant deny in both matches we have dominated and should have scored a hatful!! I dont deny we sneaked an equaliser with less than a minute on the clock for the 2nd time. Both matches should have been finished by half time though!!

 

I would feel pity for you if you were robbed but you cant say you deserved anything out of either match!!

Lost to the better side today but the scoreline flatters Chertski, 2 late goals seal the win.

 

Got to say tho the Chertski no1 has got to the best eye site in the league by miles......saw everything from 90yrads & even told the ref what he should be doing everytime, but god can he moan as well!!!!
