Apparantly no one, other than the ref, interpreted the incident as "violent", including the opposition I believe. This was why Brentford decided to appeal the decision.

The FA "backed their man".

It was only 8 minutes into the game and Nathans 1st match back after the previous suspension. I'm pretty sure the previous Red Card was for a "second bookable offence".

So your opinion of Nathan is still correct, LF smile

Nathan has struggled this season, at the hands of refs.

His jumping style is not seen as "legal" and he is over-penalised.

This is a shame, as he is a vital piece of the team.

The sending off v Notts County was ludicrous and unfair, but that's football. I doubt the ref will ever ref at Griffin Park again.

Criticism followed from both bosses, chairman (also on the recent reffing stands review body) and about 8 groups on facebook.

Yes it was "ghost goal" Attwell, who is the FA's golden boy, so there was no way the FA were going to reverse that decision.
If you look at the video Nathan never takes his eyes off the ball the whole time.

I suppose if he'd been playing for Man U (or AFC Wimbledon grin) he might have got away with it.
