You're right there APM and that will come. ATM our kids are used to playing at 100 mph all the time and until we get some more experienced heads around them it will take time to realise they can't.

 

Makes it even harder when I can't exactly get amongst them to hand out advice whilst in the goal!

Would agree it was not a great performance from us but think that was down to Cobham never giving us time on the ball, constantly harried the ball all over the park, Queenie would prefer to play C/M but when needs must he'll play C/B. Jarman is still young only 19 (I think) and is still learning and doing well at present.

At least LM didn't throw all his toys out the pram unlike half of your side when I come up for the corner at the end haha.

Jurg - Think your wrong about not being able to influence the players from being in goal. It has to start with you!

 

If you don't get those experience players in you will go down and then will those better young players stay!

 

Get Barry Wilde in as your Manager he will sort them out!

Just checked he's 20 !!! Yeah dont know what went on as I was nearer your goal then you !!!! heard that you head butted on of our players but dont know if this was intentional, then our keeper gave you a slap, (silly boy) alot of huffing and puffing from where I was.

No my days at in being a Manager are well and truly over. Think everyone know Barry wants to take a high job and he is a Cobham boy!

Yes all amnager want to move/progress to a higher level the same as players but let him finish the good job he's doing at Horsley this season and then see whats about in the summer.

What I mean by that APM is it's hard to have a proper talk with individuals if they are at the other end of the pitch from me etc and have to try and get across what I want via others.

 

PS, our coach (who IMO is prob one of the best in the league and it is a shame we have only had him properly since Xmas) just text me to say he was up the whole of the second half (he couldn't get there earlier due to work) giving plenty of advise, which he does.

Went for the header, then was accused of a headbutt when the 10 squared up to me and shoved his head into mine, then of spitting when telling another to f'off, then the keeper tries a rabbit punch over the top before backing away. If he punches crosses like that you will be in big trouble haha.

 

At least LM had his head screwed on amongst your players and was trying to defuse it all.

As for youngsters leaving if we go down, I truely believe we will keep them all, as the majority are Woking boys' and friends from school etc and we have a great team unity amongst them.

Cant be arsed with all the sillyness, the only way they'll learn is by getting punished for it, I know our manager was not happy with what the keeper did and will be having words with him about it, they got to realise it's not park football. Shown the passion but keep it under control, same with your guy how was lucky to stay on after retailiating after the foul.

Fully agree with you mate. Love a bit of good (original) banter etc on the pitch but can't be bothered with that sort of stuff really and would rather get on with the game (been there and done it all when I was younger). Like you say, it's not park football which is one of the reasons I gave up Sunday's years ago now.

He was very lucky indeed, best way to react was to mug him off again and he should know that!

Yeah, we've picked up some form in recent games and only 2 points off the play-offs with games in hand.

Got an interesting Surrey Cup game with Chertsey coming up too. Anyone here planning on attending?
