Very poor performance with most of the team looking tired and performing nowhere near to the standard of Saturday.

 

I felt a bit sorry for Jordan and Platt because I thought the midfield did a disappearing act again and gave the forwards very little service of any quality.

 

IMO the only players to have performed anywhere near their best were Harper, Evans and Fenton.

 

After the effort the players put in on Saturday I was a bit disappointed we didn't start the game with some fresh legs especially as a couple of players are one booking away from a suspension.

It was tedious to watch. Those who stayed home made the right decision.

Very disappointing after Saturday, Marlow totally deserved their win. First half fairly even, but second-half we were very poor indeed, hardly had an attack.

 

Yes it is only the Berks and Bucks, but it would have been nice to put back-to-back wins with Truro coming-up.

 

Back-line was not bad, but midfield and attack were poor today. Still think we need a real livewire in midfield there that's here there and everywhere and whose influence rubs off on other players, someone like Marlow's Jon Case for example. Scored the goal and was all over the pitch tonight. He drove Marlow forward with his energy and workrate, something we were missing tonight and for much of the season.

 

Need to be much, much better Saturday.

Bit of a disappointment, but let's hope the players can raise themselves for Saturday. Aside from the game at Stag Meadow in October, we've done pretty well against the teams near the top of the table so far.
