To be fair ,many in the work place today, may not have computer access-and rightly, they spend family time at weekends.

No doubt tonight, we will see a further outpouring of jubilation over saturdays win of seismic proportions.(it felt like it anyway-and certainly made for a better weekend )

I am not asking people to get excited just for those who usually moan when we lose to at least congratulate when we do win. Or maybe I am expecting too much?

i agree. we are in this together, the fans and the team rise and fall together, we should therefore be there to encourage each other when things dont go to well and congratulate each other when things do go well

Personally I'm targeting the next home game Tooting & Boreham Wood. Repeat Saturdays performance & I'll certainly be shouting louder & lets face it we have EVERY chance of getting points in that game if the players put the good work in again.Tonbridge & Canvey away......any result will be a "bonus" at either or both.

Thought it was Tooting & Mitcham wink

It would also help if we had someone like Syko who used to get the crowd behind the goal going at corners and free kicks.

Was just going to comment on CE's post but I see has now been deleted. Agree though wont be easy but if lads show will to win like Saturday anything is possible

But then I am a god fearing, happy clappy half wit though, so what do I know grin

Personaly over the last two seasons my intrest in the club has dwindled. Nothing to do with the team infact i think we have four or five class players.

The thing im fed up with is all of the broken promises re the ground. The amount of plans we have seen, and not to forget the work will start blah blah, id say 60% of the missing fans is not due to our current onfield predicament but all the cr@p with the ground.

Shame for the lads on the pitch as they need the old Margate support back.

It certainly has been hard going has'nt it Gringo-and i reckon there's plenty more to come.

I simply get by on the fact that we go to a football ground to watch a football match for 90 minutes.

We can equally go to a wonderful stadium devoid of a game and players and stand there for 90 minutes admiring the surroundings.

I reckon watching an actual football match is more interesting,so to me-the football team itself takes precedent.

Regarding the original post on the thread - that the reaction to Saturday's win has been subdued - perhaps we are collectively being wary. After our last home victory, a 3-0 defeat of Harlow, the expectations were high heading towards the Derby match after Christmas ... but what we got was four consecutive defeats without a goal.

I think (& hope) we can do better than that in the next four games.

As most on here will know I was unable to make the game on Saturday, however going by the reports of the game on here i missed a CRACKER. Your point BA I think may have fallen on over cautious ears as u all know since the heady days we havent had such a bad run to speak of so maybe people on here have resigned themselves to the Gates demise, and sadly expect the worst of the team. Agree that the twelveth man effect has been missing at Margate for a long time and sadly even the most ardent MFC supporter maybe is waining/crumbling to the negative attitude of the minority.

However, we still have games to play fellas and all the time it is mathmatically possible to stay in this league I for one will cheer the boys to the very end, and probably beyond.

A TRUE Supporter is there for the team through the good times

AND the bad
