Yeah Ian you got me mate. But My point is that I think Thanet Leisureforce were a bit premature cancelling Friday night and quite frankly they are crap at looking maintaining the playing facilities. I'd just like to know where all that money goes.

I don't agree that Sunday football is now toilet mate however I believe that the Saturday league is pants compared to our Ramsgate Albion days.

The best thing that ever happened was when both the Works league and Sunday Premier League joined up creating 5 divisions.

I was quite heavily involved in the Thanet Senior Sunday League (as it then was called) from 1957 - 1962 and as I recall the driving force behind the old "Works League" was Bowketts. It always seemed pointless to me, having already an established league, and I agree completely that the combining of the two leagues makes sense.

 

By the way, how much does it cost to hire a pitch and ref for a Sunday game nowadays? Back then the two used to cost a magnificent sum (if my memory serves me correctly) of
