Well then there is an old saying that on Derby Day form goes out of the Window and today was certainly evident of that!

 

Might as well get my view out on here first as I have opted out of the pub this evening

Interesting assessment there pretty fair - although a few would be surprised at picking Bubb as motm.

 

From my view Coyne did not get the ball, Luke just nicked it away from him in what was a full blooded challenge by both players. If anything I thought they'd both get booked. Very harsh red card. That said your 8 should have got a second yellow for his challenge on Sonny a few minutes earlier. I got the impression the ref wanted to send someone off and just got the wrong player.

 

Windosr seemed to have an off day but I thought we did want it more. Typical of Slough to make it hard for themselves at the end though.

 

Thought Harper, Evans and Webb were superb at the back. Brown, Sonny and Bubb worked well in midfield and Platty and Yash were always a threat up front.

 

But final word for Jacko, delighted that we won it for him - he pulled off a couple of brilliant saves and how crucial they proved.

Coyne's sending off was harsh, I agree, it should've been a yellow a piece. But 8 should definitely have gone - the ref was really bad today, in case you were wondering there were 5 yellows for slough, 5 yellows for Windsor and the red card.

I thought the red card was fully justfied - two footed in the air over the ball and onto the Slough players leg.

I thought we'd received more of the yellows than that. But then again, I wasn't at all sure what a lot of the bookings were for.

Thought Sonny was exceptional today. A very authorititive performance from someone with relatively little first team experience. Couldn't really see the tackle that caused the red card although I thought Windsor got away with one just minutes beforehand.

 

Not sure about Bubb getting such plaudits. I thought in the first half he managed to find his team mates with one in every ten passes. Still, nice to get one over Windsor. Listening to their fans moaning in the first half over every challenge was highly amusing!
