Tough game but a league double.cc

An interesting point from this game CC, player goes down injured on the edge of the home box (Hinga I think) and the ever sporting Cogham keeper kicks the ball out of play..........for a corner giggle giggle giggle Fair play to CW they do take the corner straight off for a goal kick, safest place as if the had passed to the keeper he would have wacked it into his own net biglaugh

Haha very good Teffs, might have known you would mention that!! Was very disappointed in myself for the goal esp on the stroke of halftime, but was good to see how quickly our defenders reacted to it......not!!
As for the corner, he looked very hurt so just wanted to get it out as quick as possible......SHANK...... I new there was a reason why I don't dropkick the ball!!!!

CC, I notice there is no mention of the fact your keeper shouldn't have even been on the pitch after about 15-20 min! How he never received a second yellow when giving away the pen was beyond a joke, made even worse when he was your best player in the second half esp when we had you under some good pressure!

Our luck has surely got to change soon!

To be fair, I only added a brief note re the game as I wasn't there although I was told about our keeper and that incident. Sounds like a fair comment but I'm glad he played well. Manager told me we had to work very hard for the points. We have been a bit indifferent in the past 2 months and more consistency would have seen us in a stronger position. However Bedfont Green and Camberley beat us pretty well and we have no realistic ambitions re title and promotion. We finished 7th last season and we wouldlike to improve on that if possible. Cobham aren't a bad side and you do need a change of luck. With ground grading work to be carried out by numerous clubs, relegation is up in the air again this season!!

I know mate, I'm still not sure how I managed it. Was half looking at the player on the ground whilst seeing if he wanted treatment and took a swing. Was gonna run after it but thought it was already bad enough. Even the ref had a laugh when I told him as he had missed it and assumed I'd put it out for a throw!

Wasn't so much the goal scoring chance, more the fact our player was just taken out so heavily after taking the ball past him. The ref said he didn't book him as the ball was heading out and a pen was sufficient enough to penalise the keeper!

Apologies CC as just assumed you would have been there. Your right we did make you work very hard, but yet again we were close but no cigar. Think that has been our 9 defeat by 1 goal and something like the 10-11 game we have lead in and not won!!
