Slough Town v Windsor and Eton

King Tut your reaction to insulting your mother is a strange one where most people might not have that response but maybe your right, laughing at them is the better thing to do rather than the cowboy type response of you insulted my mother, wife etc.

I do not know about the threats so i cant comment except to say it is wrong whoever does it,players or fans.

Regarding Martini i never have liked him and see that his mouth is as foul as ever, taking my niece to a match to hear him mouth the c word while walking past the dugout was the final straw.

Big win for Slough and fully deserved, you wanted it more and ultimately that got you the result. Should have equalised at the end but would probably have been a little unjust. Funny how we played better with ten, but too many if and buts for Windsor, good luck for Saturday and for the rest of the season.

I think it is intersting no-one has mentioned the ref. Who in my opinion has an absolute stinker and here atre my examples.

The windsor 8 should have got 4 yellow cards in the first half.

The sending off was a terrible decision both players dived in exactly the same and it should have been a yellow each.

During a fracas near the end im pretty sure Sonny should have gone from what i think i saw.

And Seeds should have got a 2nd yellow for the pen.

Add to that the total inconsistency throughout and i think he was a real plonker!

I still maintain Windsor are the best team ive seen play in this league and ill be surprised if they dont finish top 3.

I think that the picture on the back of the Express just about sums up how much of a sending off it wasn't.

Considering that in the referee's report Paul Coyne was supposed to have left the ground with both feet in the air.

We had him at Stag Meadow against Bridgewater and e is now trying to get their assistant manager charged with assault.

Total idiot in my book!!

Without causing offence he was clearly a known poor ref. The two refs either side of him for Windsor against promotion contenders (didcot and then Totton today) were very good. Controlled what were both hard fought matches without dishing out cards for challenges that would have probably got a double red at the Slough v Windsor game. They understood how big the games were and refereed accordingly, very little malice in either game. The Windsor Slough game wass clearly seen as a nothing game and the league supplied a nothing ref, the bookings for both sides could cause a lot of issues later in the season.

I just struggle that teams who get these refs are powerless to get him relegated or penalised for being so poor, seems avery inequitable position teams are in when it comes to officials.

No, that's just people's perception from watching Slapshot in the 1970's!! The reality is there are few fights and I haven't seen a 'mass brawl' in 4 years of watching hockey. I'm sure Dam will be able to quote a few that have happened over the years but I can't recall anything really bad.

I've not seen the photo, but it represents one millisecond of action. Two players went in for the ball, one sliding on the ground, the other leapt two footed and may well have ended up on the ground, but went two footed in the air. Coyne deserved the red. And given he now has a 6 match ban from the FA he doesn't appear the sort of player who is likely to be an innocent party.

I seem to remember Windsor trying to defend Jarvis for his red card in a derby game a few years ago. Great judges of character

Yes Slough are a poor judge of individuals as the last 3 managers and especially the current one have all promised the earth and delivered nothing.

The problem lies in the people who have appointed these managers, and that goes back to before the current chairman, however he has failed to act on the current situation.

How feed up am I of having to explain Sloughs continued performances to freinds and workmates who ask "how did slough do?" and saying they lost again, with the next comment being "but slough used to be in the conference and they now cant beat teams at this level". They then ask how big is the budget, and you say it is probably the third biggest in this leauge.

Come on Steve Easterbrook, show us that you want to move the club forward and get a decent manager in.

And since when has Sweetman promised the Earth?

Like the rest of us he knew when he took the job it was going to be one almighty struggle to get the club back to our past glories.

It is great with threads like this, every club has employed the wrong person, made bad decisions, defended players clearly in the wrong and then supporters have to struggle to come to terms with the fact they are no longer the great team and sometimes club they once were. It is so easy to point fingers and quote instances but it happens everywhere no one club is generally worse than any other, it is just perspective. Windsor fans of a certain age remember playing in the FA Cup 1st round proper year after year and having VERY good players and at one point being a team to avoid in cup competitions. We have been through that horrible drop and seen it all turn to you know what. I genuinely wish you the goodluck you need in finding the right person who it just all works for and then it sort of snowballs, but until then I shall look forward to Windsor hopefully being in a higher division than Slough for the first time in my lifetime. Its the little things that make you happy, well that's what my girlfriend tells me anyway....LOL!!
