Pitch Inspection - Chatham Town FC

There is to be a Pitch Inspection tomorrow morning at Chatham Town between 9.30am - 10.00am. As soon as a decision has been made I will let you all know.

Heavy frost here in Hemel will not have cleared before 10. According to the Met Office temperatures will only be 4 at 12:00and 5 at 3:00.

 

It seems to me that 10 am is too early to determine if the game should go ahead. As I recall Chatham is on the side of a hill and, I would have thought, relatively free draining. It is next to a grave yard. How is a decision going to be made whether the pitch will unfreeze by 3:00.

 

Besides I want to look at a boat in Gillingham today.

Isn't the problem that an inspection was arranged in the belief that the decision would be about whether the pitch was too wet. The frost wasn't on that agenda. Now the sun's up it's clearing nicely. I haven't given up just yet!
