MO TAKALOO is relishing the new challenge of trying to win the Kent League title with his third club - having put pen to paper on a deal with Hythe Town tonight, writes Stephen McCartney.

The 29-year-old, Broadstairs based striker has previously won the Kent League crown with Ramsgate and Maidstone United, and he wants to complete a unique treble this term.

Takaloo, speaking to www.kentishfootball.co.uk after sealing the deal, says he has left Margate this week as he didn

I thought it a bit unprofessional to mention TY's intentions with another player. I don't know but I wonder if Mo's move is more to do with being 3rd choice rather than the club's position. Danny Hockton didn't jump ship when we seemed to be heading for relegation. I guess I'm somewhere between John and Michael's comments.

IOT Gazette:

From the article 'Tak goes in Blues shake-up'.

...Neville Southall said: "Mo's left the club. The way things are at the moment, to sign anyone new we have to get people out... It's nothing personal with Mo, it's just a business decision.

"Terry's looking to get someone in who he considers a better player than what we've got."

Interesting to see that the player states he left voluntarily.

He did the same at Ramsgate and then moved on , it's nothing new, shows a bit of passion for the cause and hates losing .... i've seen him almost at the point of being distraught after a loss. He's taken a step down now probably to a level that suits him more and i'm sure he'll be banging the goals in.

Good luck to him.

No real loss for me. Never really understood why there was so much praise for him on here; I can't say I saw much to impress me in his latest spell. If it frees up money to bring in a better player, then it's a good deal in my eyes. As much as he seems to be a nice bloke, Tako's level is Kent League for me.

Mo did not jump ship, I saw him up JJB (there are other gyms available). He loves Margate but he was told he could leave to free up funds for other players (Dryden?)after two approaches were made, Mo also needs to look after his young family and the contract offered gives him a bit more security that he needed in this current climate..

All the best Mo..

Sadly I really don't have any strong feelings currently about whether a player should stay, go or what.

We are in a knock it down and start again situation and players seem to be changing left right and centre.

I guess that it will eventually get sorted out but it seems that at the moment it is all hands to the pumps to get players in who can "save us".

I know this is a bit of a ramble as opposed to a rant or anything but to use a well known (?) phrase or saying it is something up with which we must put.
