It is with great sadness I have to let you all know that Jim sadly passed away this afternoon.

Jim was and Im sure still will be a great inspiration to me and many others at the club.

He served the club in a number of roles from the 70's till now when, even at 80+he was still raising funds from player sponsorship etc.

Jim was a gentleman in every way and his smiling face will be missed at the club.

I and I am sure everyone at the club wish his wife Janet, son Andrew and daughter Debbie our sincere condolances for the loss of a man who was liked and respected by everyone and I am sure will be fondly remembered for years to come.

Very sad.

Jim was always friendly and welcoming to all at the club and always had a story or a cheeky aside to tell me. On top of that, he always gave me encouragement to continue with whatever I was doing down the club and was always concerned over my well being. I will miss him.

He gave the club a tremendous amount of support.

A gentleman of the highest order and will be sorely missed by all.

Our thoughts and wishes go to all his family.

As a newcomer to New Lodge Jim always made his way to me when i first came to games alone.

His pride of the club always shone trough and it is a pleasure to have been in his company.

Our thoughts are with Jim's family and the club at this sad time.

My god !! Many folk past and present have known Jim in either a large capacity or a fleeting moment in the bar. Personally, one of the moments i will always remember Jim for was a very simple gesture...We were on a particualrly bad run a long time ago (losing every week)and there was only about 15 of us pitched up in Boreham Wood bar. Over came Jim, and demanded that we all had a beer - As i say a simple gesture but one that made us feel good again and what non league is all about.

Good on yer Jim - And keep looking out for your Beloved BLUES.

So sad. Jim was a true gent with a cheeky side, a sense of humour and a razor sharp memory - particularly for all things BTFC related. Just a few months ago he introduced me to his two grandsons at a game at New Lodge and it was obvious how proud he was of them and how proud they were of their grandfather.

It was a privilege to have met him and to have got to know him so well over the past couple of years. He was so interesting to talk to and always had a story to tell.

Rest in peace Jim, and thanks for the toffee eclair you gave me at Boreham Wood!

This is very sad news, Jim Hall was a true gentleman who made everyone welcome to BTFC.

Having known Jim for 10+ years his life was around BTFC promoting the club and would do anything to help anybody at BTFC or any other Ryman club for the good of the game.

My condolences go to his family, a real gentlemen who will be sadly missed around New Lodge.

Like everyone above I am deeply saddened by this news - Jim was a great friend to me in my days more closely involved in the club and always found time for a quick chat before the game since then. I am sure he will be joining Len Dewson,George Hackwell and others now for a good catch up in the great Executive Viewing Gallery in the sky ! RIP Jim - True Ricay Legend

When I became Chairman it was on the condition that Jim would be the Treasurer , he immediately agreed to this and we spent many happy years together, he was the most honest and trustworthy person I have ever met, I could not get a penny from him unless I could prove he owed me tuppence !, a great Town supporter all his life and surely had true blue blood, he was respected by everyone he met, I am sure he will be sadly missed by all at the club, my thoughts are with his wife and family, God Bless Jim.
