Colin stated in his post match i'view that 'when at the bottom of the league you dont get the luck'. Tottenham and some others down there at present would agree I think. But there is also a large element of the old addage of 'make your own luck and enjoy the success'.This squad, IMO, are more than good enuf to escape the current state of play. They are all in possession of the necessary character and ability to acheive a lot more than most would ever think possible.........they just dont believe it enough for some strange reason.

You could all probably relate an amazing memory to do with an incident in a match but here's one of mine; Under 14's, local cup semi final, preferred team down 2-1 with 10 mins to go. Gifted mid-fielder takes on three players and launches a volley from the edge of the area and it arrows into the top corner...........2-2. Just after kick-off same mid player gets severely 'munched' and his manager thinks he heard the boys leg snap and goes into panic mode. Boy comes off and game continues. Boys father also thinks that something horendous has happened to his sons leg. When his shin pad is removed the skin around the point of impact from the tackle is the whitest of white that you have ever seen and the leg is begining to swell. Strangely everyone sighed with relief having expected blood and bone to have been visible.

All this time though the player is insisting and screaming at his manager to let him go back on.The manager does so with on ly 2 minutes to go. His team were just about take a corner and he sprinted from the halfway line to the edge of the box.As the ball came in from the corner and drifted towards the penalty spot and the just injured mid player continued his run and placed another screamer into the net. A wonderful gosl to win what most had stated to be a very exciting and hard faught game.

The player in question collapsed at the final whistle and had to be carried off the pitch and spent the next six hours in causualty having xrays and was not able to play for 4 weeks due to the severity of the damage resulting from the tackle that had everyone cacking their undies. The point that I am making is that all of the lads in squad are capable of more that they know until they are given the right reason to find it and have the belief of those around them made apparent in abundance.

The above is a true representaion of just one incident quite a while ago but the same courage and determination exists in all the players..............give them unerring support and the chance to show the doughting thomas' that they are wrong about the clubs current plight.
