Like most things in Thanet the people with the power are short sighted, we have an airport not developed and has not been for years, a Ferry Terminal hardly used, we had two seafront amusement complexes, not everyones cup of tea but ensured thousands of visitors each weekend, now having disappeared.

 

I am surprised that they havent removed all of the sand from the beaches and sold it to a company building retirement flats!!

 

How the hell can we have a decent Club with a decent ground when we have small minded and possibly corrupt,(apparentely) Politicians.

A tale of two welsh managers.

 

Dean Saunders takes charge of Wrexham in november after 13 games in which they achieved 15 points and takes them up to the edge of the play-offs,having achieved 30 points from his 13 games in charge.

 

Terry Yorath takes charge of Margate in november after 13 games in which they have achieved 12 points and takes them down to second bottom of the league ,having achieved 10 points in his 13 games in charge.

 

It just shows that it is possible and that TY must achieve 30 points for Margate in his next 13 games,and take us to safety.

I'm sure he has-but so do most of the other teams in that league,and similarly, i would anticipate Ty's budget is similar to other managers in the ryman.

Regardless-the point was that it is possible for a manager to take 30 points from 39 games starting at a very low base.

 

Saunders has just achieved that -and i'm sure Mr Yorath would like to prove he can out achieve Dean Saunders !!

I too would question what has happened to Dan Stubbs and Mo, but I don't think anyone can really have any major moans at TY. Margate is currently a very difficult club to manage. The perception is that what happens on the pitch is taking a back seat to what happens off it.
