Not like me to speculate but on the Folkestone site they have a rumour that Jimmy Dryden may, i mean may, come to Margate in exchange for ?--- well he played for Maidstone and Ramsgate. I say no more.

I think the same thread on the folkestone forum suggests the player offered is not as mentioned above but someone else;and then goes on to suggest it won't be happening anyway .

As far as I know Folkestone are either not paying their players or paying them a minimal amount so I can't see any of our players going there, particularly the ones allegedly picking up several hundred pounds a week for doing nothing.

Funnily, until a year or 2 ago, I always perceived Dryden to be one of the best strikers in Kent - with fitness and good form, could he have made it in the Conference?

It does seem his career has taken a downturn - does anyoneone have any good reason why that has happened?

So JD is not coming to us ok disapointing but we also missed out on another possible signing with Leroy Griffiths joining Staines . Could have done ok for us i think big phisical player whose not affraid to get stuck in as he did to us a couple of seasons ago . Up the Gate .

'Stuck in' is certainly one way to put it. I seem to remember when we played Fisher at Dulwich Hamlet on a wet Tuesday night a few years back, he stamped on one of our players who was on the floor, and only got a booking. Dirty player when things don't go his way.

Leroy with his head 'right' is awesome at this level. However, I think he is rather expensive when it comes to wages.

I would have thought Dryden would have been pretty expensive , so to make an offer for him makes me think we must have the resources to do so . If we are to grab someone who is the goal machine Terry is looking for then we need to look quick to find him . Up the Gate .
