Furious with this move tbh i rated Rikki highly and he never seemed to get the chance so it's good for him as he will get a chance at Wabbey, but the reason i'm annoyed about this move is that i don't think we ever got the best out of Rikki and we may realise he is a loss to us in the future.

He was certainly a "different" option to Flack & Bricknell, and his leaving will reduce our average height even further

I do wish Rikki all the best. I am sure he will do very well at Waltham Abbey.

 

I have to say though, we do have players coming through into the team which could be just as good as him.

 

I think Jack West could fill his position.

In my view Burbs has the ability to play at this level, it's just getting him on the pitch for any sustained period that's been the problem due to various ailments and injuries.

 

I wish Burbs all the best and hopefully most Blues fans will do too.

A very nice bloke of the pitch but an agressive so and so on it when fit...and there hangs the tale. I agree with jl, he has bags of ability to play at this level, maybe the league higher but it's his fitness that is the question.

I am somewhat confused as to where who ever posted on the home page got their information from.

I spoke to Burbs last night and he told me that he was going to Waltham Abbey on loan.

Can anyone confirm the situation?

Quality strike against Horsham too ! I agree that Burbs never seemed to quite fulfil potential but he did have a knack of popping up with some useful goals, to which i am sure last season at Wealdstone (Northwood) when we were 2-0 down will also testify. However, when-ever he came on it looked like his back was to give way, so maybe this has something to do with departure.

rikki texted me this morning, he said he had a change of heart and now is going to real madrid!

i think its permenant, jack west will take his place, he did well at a loan spell at brentwood. so jack will have a spot in the team now on, i reckon

All the news on the website comes directly from the club. Maybe somebody will be along to clarify the statement later.

from what is on the website it seems that its a permanent deal. As surely if he was on loan then he wouldnt have a chance of playing 2nite as wouldnt be allowed? He was a good player to have as gives us something different but was never match fit and always gets niggling injuries. I think someone else deserves a chance now and maybe thats why Jack West was recalled from his loan at Maldon.
