the smell of the linament - the roar of the crowds

really enjoyed the day yesterday after 9 weeks missing in action whilst on a polar expedition....grin

its only when you can't get to games that you truly realise how special our little old club and non league involvement is...its no surprise of course that the recent run of poor results was instantly turned around as I made my appearance on the UU plywood perch whistle and a fine performance it was from the mighty urchins on the pitch although I was a little disappointed at the subdued atmosphere off it and around the ground....

now I only have a winge up in public when its truly needed and one could be forgiven for thinking that a funeral was about to traipse around the ground listening to the subdued music and lack of crowd participation before and duting the match.....what the fck is going on?...where's the urchin razmatazz that has been so popular and media friendly over the years?...where's the buzz of anticiption prior to kick off?...where's the eastside roar after kick off?....whats with the classic subdued music so low it can hardly be fckn heard?....

fck me guys...lets get the old stadium swinging again and fill those seats...lets get the oompah showbizzy feel back into the bridge and get behind these players as they move onwards towards the play offs.....yeah money is tight but these things cost nowt....just energy and commitment and involvement...

lets go here urchins....you want a successful well supported club then we have to work at it...and work bloody hard...

see you all tuesday night..

Max's playlist is somewhat eclectic and generally he plays some great music.

I'm not sure how you can whip the crowd up to generate some atmosphere but in the first half when I was on the Riverside of the ground, they chimed up with "Can you hear the Margate sing?" and it was like a murmur they were that quiet!

The irony was marvellous!
