The Margate Boys

According to the Hornchurch forum "The Margate Boys", who sponsored yesterday's game, are believed to be a group of exiled Ramsgate supporters.

I wondered who they were - for whatever reason we are now attracting Ramsgate supporters to our games.

I sponsored the game because I normally sponsor 1 or 2 matches a season, Margate aren't interested in sponsorship, Hornchurch are

I also have made some good friends up there so it seemed that an obvious choice

Here, here Pagey. We weren't their AGAINST our own club. I was invited by Andy back in August of last year, along with several other ardent Margate supporters and some of Andy's friends to spend the day with him as his guest (most generous of him it was too) to SUPPORT our club at Hornchurch, whose supporters we have made many friends amongst, some of whom were also invited to join us for a meal in their clubhouse and cheer on our respective teams.

With regard to the various crap comments above about our loyalty to the club, we are amongst the more loyal supporters of the club who support at home and away for most games. It seems that having a nice meal and watching your team in comfort in the company of good friends is a crime.

I would also comment that Bluegate Alan sponsored the Hornchurch match at Hartsdown, when his guests also included Urchin fans as his guests. Another example of the friendship between our clubs.

So those of you that see some sort of treachery in this, GET A LIFE YOU SAD LOT. Also give a thought to the fact that some of Andy's friends might also start supporting the Gate more regularly after enjoying the game.

I don't know who you are footiemad1, but unless you are one of the few supporters who spend most of their free time organising events and working bloody hard for MISA your comment about Margate boys should pull their bucks up is also a heap of unadultered crap. - RANT OVER.

Again Andy, many thanks for your invitation and generosity on Saturday - Signed: AB bloody annoyed of Palm Bay,

I thought "The Margate Boys" played for Margate FC.

i think we all want to see an end to the present boards pathetic attempts to try and hoodwink the fans into believing they care about the club and not just the moneymaking potential in the many ridiculous development plans they have tried.its now time for a change, if it means starting again from the bottom so be it cos the club is going nowhere with the present set up
