What a fantastic result. A dour first half but we were the better side. Two fantastic goals by Joe who dispite the slagging off he gets from the likes of Paul Smithson is a quality left winger who just needs abit of fire in his belly!

The Sending off for Didcot was one of the worst tackles i've seen in football and all credit must go to our players for not hitting the player!

Lets put this week to rest now. Win against Slough and Totton and it really will be time to look at finishing first!

A really good all round team display today. We made one of the better teams in the league look ordinary.

We probably just about shaded the first half but second half we were better all over the pitch.

Every player contributed but Joe deserves some special praise for his 2 goals and all round performance. He spent the whole game Making their number 2 look silly which ultimately led to the worst challenge I have seen for some time, when even the Punto stand are effing & blinding about something you know its bad!

This was a great result. The first half was very even but in the second half we were the better side. Two amazing goals by Joe especially the second goal that is probably the best goal we will see this season.

The Sending off for Didcot was a bad tackle where the player raised his feet and Joe was lucky to at least be hobbling off the pitch at the end. I hope it isn't too serious and that he is ready for the next league game.

The next 2 games against Slough and Totton are really important. Slough will want to get us back for the last game we played against them and Totton are chasing on our heels and will fancy having a go at us. I think we have the mentality to win these games so bring it on.

That was superb. I'd agree, we shaded the first half - but we never looked like conceding, and we always looked to have more in the tank.

As for the second half, I'm not sure I've ever seen us play smoother football. We've been more dominating, maybe, and Didcot never gave up and never looked soft targets, but we always looked so comfortable, we seemed to find the right place most of the time, and when one guy didn't the next player got it right... Great team play.

As for the goals, well, all three were joys to watch.

The first was well worked through by Fagan and his cross was sublime - dipping and swerving away from the keeper, who did well even to get fingers to it... brilliant. Joe just stayed in the right place and sent it back.

So, maybe, you could call it a bit lucky. Perfectly taken, but lucky, maybe...

But then Joe's second was just individual brilliance, made from nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong because the quality blurs, but I recall it as a pass from Seeds to Joe, a bit past the halfway line on the left wing with no special position, and from that he beat one tackle, side-footed it and ran around the second to keep the ball, then was passing a third and shot from ~15 yards towards the left corner of the area and gave the keeper no chance. Solo goal, from nothing. Genius.

And with the game already won, Chenns showing how it's meant to be done, passing two defenders and drawing two more, has a chance - but somehow spots Willo at the other side of the box, and completely unselfishly sets him up with a quality pass for an easy goal. Pure class. And really putting the team first.

After that, dragging Seeds back from the confrontation must have seemed easy smile

F***ing mental tackle, though. I can only guess it was frustration at being skinned all evening, but still it was so inexcusably vicious, looked like it was truly trying to do damage, and it's not as though Joe's at all a physical player who might have invited any retribution - it really was just nasty and gratuitous. and the only time I've ever seen a ref push the player away and then card him so fast.

But yeah, what else to say. That was the kind of game that champions play.
