Interesting ?
Yes it is MM,but Ashby or Yorath,I still belive that the GATE,that being the playing side are being sacrifice for this bleeding development of the ground that I think will never happen.

That's the spirit Cookie - NEVER SAY DIE.

You should have been born a Ram wink

If your players have your attitude you have a chance. If they've got the same attitude as some of your "less optimistic" fans then you're in deep deep trouble. To be honest those fans don't deserve your club to stay up, resigned to failure with 15 or so games left to play, but people like you do.

Good luck, but not at our expense wink

I think the Gate did everything but score today (obviously). They battled, they played good football, they attacked i think it was the robust defence of the Urchins that kept the ball out of the net, and HX have a better keeper.

Like Cookie says, it's not impossible, it is looking dire, i wish you the best of luck.

Maybe we should do a swap then. Defenders in attack. Front men as defenders. whistle wink laugh

Bitch has summed it up pretty well I think. In fact it was a very similar story to that of the Sutton game where we could so easily have been about four up by half time.

In the second half particularly we had some good chances - a long lob from Peters was just tipped over the bar by a somewhat surprised Hornchurch keeper, another was headed clear from close quarters by a defender and then it was (I think) Danny Stubbs whose shot was blocked by a defender. I quite liked the look of Cliff who came on as a sub although I don't know much about him and understand that he was not playing in his favoured position.

The team did battle, did try to play football and all credit to them.

Credit also to those diehards, most of those who are involved in MISA, with whom I stood and who kept encouraging the team throughout the game. Personally I think that we (and many other clubs) would be in a far worse state without such people and they deserve our thanks for what they do to help the club in such difficult times. Thanks Guys.

This was a far better game than the Ramsgate one.

I would say we have about 8-9 players who are at the moment good enough. I think the other positions need to be filled with experienced players to cement the team together.

Based on this and our current form of luck, I feel we will be relegated this season

agreed Pagey , 1st priority a quality striker , i think this will help Bailey and Tako , it will take the pressure off of them . Tako is good enough to help and hold up the ball , with Bailey i feel sorry for the lad as he`s been thrown in at the deep end and is expected to get us out of this problem we`re in .2nd priority is ? Up the Gate .

But most of the players played with deep commitment to the cause. As Pagey says, we need an old head in there to rally the lads and guide them. As SSS says, it is not the players faults, they are doing their very best, and we have some very good ones in there. It is a shame Louis is injured, because I feel he could have done a fair bit to help rally them.

We are in peril of relegation, unless we can sort some experience out, and get a goalscorer that's not afraid to have a pop when presented with a net in front of him. And Mullins needs to realise he has a lot to learn still, on his day he can stop shots, his confidence is higher than his ability to keep goals out at the moment, and I wish he would not wander around outside the box so much.

hi guys and bad luck yesterday..there wasn't much in the teams really and you had your chances...especially just after half time when you dominated for 15 minutes....

difference was the finishing really...you need a good striker and would probably score more if healy stayed on his feet instead of looking for (and getting) free kicks when he could plough through on goal...that said I thought it was an action filled and enjoyable game and as my first match for 10 weeks I went home a happy teddy.....

nice to see you all again yesterday and thanks for a great days entertainment on and off the pitch...keep the faith...
