I Was Born Between Those Legs/Don't Tell Him Pike

Recommended Posts

In a recent Coronation Street episode Steve MacDonald uttered the words "I Was Born Between Those Legs" when he found out that his best friend and business partner Lloyd was having a sordid affair with his Mum Liz. I just wonder whether this will eventually go down in tv folklore like 'Don't Tell Him Pike' has done from Dad's Army. Can anyone remember any other classic lines from comedies or films, "Put Them Away" by Kenneth Williams springs to mind in Carry On Camping.

Ian Lavender was on Celebrity Mastermind recently and when asked what his name was when he sat in the black chair, one of the other contestants (may have been Rick Wakeman) shouted "Don't tell him Pike"

Yes I saw that episode of Corrie, classic moment. Actually despite everything compared with other Soaps Corrie does have some quite good humour in it.

I still think one of the best lines ever was in 'Carry on Cleo'

The late, great Kenneth Williams as Julius Ceaser, on discovering his pretorian guard wanted to kill him.

" INFAMY, INFAMY - They've all got it in for me !""

A classic indeed.
I wish film buff Lato would swallow his pride and come on as I'm sure he has a few good ones up his sleeve.

Do you remember Miss Brahms in the series, I think every red blooded male who grew up in the 70's and 80's does as well as Young Mr Grace's nurses.

the nurses, yes and the managers secretary!

one of my favourite scenes was from boys from the blackstuff, reminded by coup what coups avatar.

Yosser is in the confessional and the priest is trying to console him, though yosser has said he is struggling in desperate times, the priest says his name is Father Daniel Thomas , doubting thomas! but call me Dan.

Yosser : I'm desperate, Dan.

yosser headbuts the wall when he realises what he said.
