The big Questions!!!

Do you feel Margate FC will ever get out of this enormous mess that its in. Will the ground ever get built?

Will we get relegated this season?

Will the side ever look settled?

Something else that i've noticed.

I trained at the 5 a side centre last night and noticed how small the pitches were. I was not the only one to comment on this. Only 4 of the 8 were being used even though Wednesdays are a very popular night for Sunday league teams to train. Surely the other 4 could be made into 2 larger ones thus creating a much larger training area. Minster is a fine example of a 3G pitch. Fully booked 5 nights a week and more or less paying for itself. Minster has full size goals to train with aswell as the smaller 5 a side ones. My football club are on the waiting list to use Minster but are unlikely to get on it because its so popular. They charge

From my knowledge of local football clubs I understand that most Sunday sides use Minster, Chatham house, Jackey Bakers (God knows why) and not Margate FC's 5 a side centre.

I play in the soccer 6's at Chatham house and must say i'd rather play on Minster or Margate FC's 3G pitch but at the end of the day it's down to cost and the facility itself. In my opinion each 5 a side pitch should be no more than

2.Not whilst dick brain is leader of the council
3.If we can settle quick enough then we have a chance
4.There is only so much Terry can keep chopping and changing and he will have to make the best use of what he has

My own answers...

1. Only if KP gets out.

2. The lack of progress on the ground is almost entirely the club's fault (as anyone who witnessed the shambolic presentation of the plans for the medical centre will realise). In any case, the ailing economy will put a halt to any major work for the forseeable future. If Liverpool can't find the money for a new stadium, what hope does anyone else have? Bearing this in mind...how much would it cost to pay for a shelter at the bottom end of the ground? I'm not talking a huge covered terrace. Maybe the fans could start fundraising.

3. The league table does not look good at the moment. However, there really is very little to pick between top and bottom of this league (Sutton were garbage on Tuesday and they are in the play-offs!) String some results together and we've got a chance.

4. The reason we've been losing games is not because the team is unsettled, it's because of various players (e.g. Mullin, Quain) not being good enough.

He'll still be looking over his shoulder. The trouble BGA is he thinks he's good. He always did. He makes stupid mistakes cos' he tries to act cocky but can't live it. Muarice Munden was nasty, nasty to the away crowd BUT you could not wind him up. PM thinks he's good but he can't cope with the pressure. If you flaunt it you have to live. Ali had all the front but could live it, do it and come up with the results. I do not like the Mullings type of goalkeeper. Margate are also not used to this sort of keeper. PM is a liability. He is poor.

The character thing is not a major issue for me re:mullins, but i do believe we leak a few goals bacause unfortunately,Mullins is a couple of inches shorter than the average goalkeeper;and it costs from time to time.

certainly, the second ramsgate goal would may well have been stoppoed by someone a bit taller, and i read of another couple of lobbed goals conceded

Nej Hussain played for us when we had our friendly against Canterbury City a couple of weeks ago , he did`nt have loads to do but what he done looked impressive and professional , alot like Lee Butcher who we had on loan . A goalkeeper should be the eyes for the back 4 and should shout and give instructions when needed . PM is one with the mouth , SCS is the shot stopper , combine the two and we have the keeper we need ( Nej Hussain ) . Up the Gate .

Mullin is too cocky for his own good. Races off his line like a headless chicken all too often. Miskicks his clearances straight against strikers all the time, and this cost us against Staines, and we have been fortunate that it hasn't cost us in other games. The second goal at Sutton was completely his fault. I'd rather see Beresford given a chance.
