Personally I think the Premier is stronger this season and although Merstham had a quality squad last year I don't think they would have it all their own way if they were still here.

i think merstham would still win it this year but it would be closer as teams are stronger like north greenford, bedfont green,cove,epsom

personally yes you are right there are some stronger teams but having played all the top teams this season and playing against Merstham twice last season they would still of won the league easily!

Are we forgetting it took merstham to come from behind twice to beat Molsey and they lost to Cove and having watched the Molsey game they were lucky even talking to Mick afterwards he admitted that the sides were stronger this year...Yellow dog I don't think GP was infering that BG would win the league just stating a personal view regarding the strength of the league in general. NGUFC have a quality side this year and will take some beating and if Molsey had had a better start they would be in the mixer now....I still fancy Molsey to be there or there abouts.

I think if you ask all at Merstham they will tell you cups are not priority this season, staying up is paramount and this being why ran close in cup comps. Also you know yourself cup games are anyones for the taking depending on who really wants to progress. Anyone can be beaten in a one of cup tie but a real quality squad will show where they finish in league standings end of season. So when you consider merstham are holding there own in the ryman i feel they are still a way in front of anyone from the ccp really matching them over a season

My point was "I don't think they would have it all their own way". We and other clubs ran them very close in matches last year and I think they won 11 games by the odd goal. You misunderstand me Y-Dog, I'm saying my personal opinion is the teams are better this season than last that's all.

In my honest opinion the standard is the same if not a little worse than last year but has made it a better league as we have a number of teams vying for the title. Personally I still think between NGU + BG.
