Tonites match at Cove.....

I watched Ash play Epsom at the beginning of the season and if Ash could finish their dinner, they would have stuffed them instead of coming away with a 1-1 draw.

Fair play to Epsom being at the top, but they must crack soon. Ash knew how to play against them and I am dissapointed we did not take the same approach in our FA Cup match.

I spoke to someone about Hartley on the weekend and he said that unless the new manager is Paul Daniels, they are down.

Surprised that they kept with the same manager for so long (nothing against Mike Scott). I have been at clubs before where the push was made in October at the latest.

Tight at the bottom aswell mate. Our old team struggling a bit. Hartley Wintney are almost certainly down unless Pete Gray can muster some players from somewhere and perform a miracle. A bad run of results from any one of 9 teams and it could be a tight finish. Who knows what will happen with ups and downs this year.

Yes I agree JJ very tight at the bottom,we (Horley) I think have lost 1 game in our last 7 which was to you and as I remember we were the better side on the day which I hope you would agree. In this run we have played top teams Chertsey,NGU,Epsom so it has been a good run,we have Camberley at the weekend and expect a difficult game but to be honest now I think anyone can beat anyone at this stage of the season.Molesey are also on a great run so I think the teams at the top will have some harder games than they think.

No can't agree with you on this one JJ, as a manager you are only allowed a certain amount of time to show what you can do, if you are a player the same applies if you don't play well the manager will replace you if the manager does not do well then he is replaced simple.Hartley have spent a lot of money to meet CCL premier criteria and would(I hope)want a long stay in this league or above. I hope Mr Gray keeps HWFC in this league as they are one of my old teams and Luke the chairman is a great bloke and works his nuts off for them.

hartley only finished third in div 1 last season, and you wonder what the real standard of div 1 is.

Hartley struggling after the promotion, Dorking (after a poor start) going great guns despite last seasons bottom finish , Mole v.... top of the league fresh in.

Coco prem is a proper league especially since the Ryman drop, and clubs used to div 1 are going to struggle with the standard.

If you are changing the manager I guess you have to change the players.

more dough.

I think you can remain in this league with a small budget but it is becoming more difficult, it is probably better if the manager has good (emphasis on good)contacts, we all know people who underestimate the standard of football and the fitness levels in this league, these teams normally come unstuck and end up in a relegation battle.
