Fair result..Rattled07 was flying in a bit JJ steady but Cove's keeper had a bit of an off nite. All in all a good match, some good tackles and some bad decisions by the ref.

A fair result for Epsom not Cove. Twice in the lead - a howler from our keeper.

 

Epsom manager was quoted as saying he was happy with a point. Cove manager fuming at 2 points dropped!

Agree JJ but Epsom could have been 2 up before your 1st, however when u were in the lead I thought you were gonna win it, then at the end your keeper tried to gift the no16 an open net by missing a clearance but was saved by your big no4.

PS its nice to see Bobby Barnes had a shave.....

We lost 4-1 after extra time tonight to chessington and hook in the cup. Unfair reflection expecially after dominating the 2nd half. Undone by 3 goals in 3 mins at start of extra time. C H were lively upfront but overall a poor side and i have never seen a side get away with so much abuse to the match officials.

Me agrees with you. Still, 2 points is better than none and it lifts us above Camberley. Just think where we could be if we hadnt had a terrible 2nd half versus NGU and a shocking ref versus Badshot Lea. There would be a 3 way tie at the top of the table!

Ha Ha. You end the season where you deserve to be JJ and no excuses. Still reckon it will be between you and Cambo for 5th and 6th. Just good to have a league that has the ability to be an exciting 2nd half to it.

I thought Cove just about deserved to win, like Weeble said they could easily have been a couple down but I remember a cross from the Cove 8 being headed wide from 6 yards out when it looked easier to score. If that was a miss though there was one at the other end moments later which was even worse when the E&E forward headed over. The Cove keeper really let his side down though as E&E came out of the traps in the second half but the pressure only lasted around 10 mins, the rest of the half was dominated by the home side who should have went on to score more and win the game. However, you need to defend the E&E counter-attack game and a moments lapse of concentration down the Cove right side saw a well measured ball down the line crossed for another tap in.

 

Good entertaining game and I even managed not to mention Rattled getting booked for an awful challenge or his second half mugging by the Cove number 10 as the youngster flicked it past him but shot straight at the keeper

I will be dissapointed with 5th or 6th place this season. Top 3 i would be pleased with.

 

Cove and Camberley are 6 points behind the leader with 20 matches to play. Plenty of time left and i'm sure a few twists to the end of the season yet!! Thankfully.

 

Have to say that i am suprised that Epsom have not drawn or lost more matches to date. They certainly werent the best team we have come across this season. Teams that face Epsom need to believe in themselves a bit more. They are not that good!!

My opinion is based on what I have seen this season JJ and IMHO Cambo havent got what it takes at the moment. Whether things change over the next few weeks is another matter. Also I havent seen you guys this year so it was difficult for me to place you above sides I have seen.

I believe that Cove are missing 1 or 2 quality players and a bit of experience which is what we are getting this season.

 

Silly mistakes and switching off at times has cost us countless dropped points. We'll iron them out next season and push for promotion hopefully.

 

I'd still like to finish top 3.

Although we beat Bedfont Green at home 3-0 i do feel you have probably the best team in the ccl and after playing Epsom last night i now put you as favourites now. Although Cove will have something to say about that when we meet at Stag Meadow next!

 

We have the favourites to beat and you owe us for the 3-0!! Interesting match i feel!

Not that good, but top of the league? I'll take that...

We were very slow out of the traps last night, and Cove were really fired up from the off, but as mentioned above we really should have been 2 up before you scored. However it was a cracking game of football and I reckon the draw was the fair result, as both sides missed some guilt edged chances.

It's good to see the title race so open too, as long as we stay top but not that good I'll be happy.

Alb Ee's, your guys play to your strengths and the direct football down the channels and crossing works at this level, make no mistake about that. That's why I won't tip BG for the title, we play some fantastic entertaining football in most matches but that doesn't always get you three points.

BGFC are punching above their weight and I feel top 4 or 5 would be a good finish for them...However I feel Cove will be pushing for top positions as long as you say get a couple of players and sort your keeper out.

Unfortunatly didnt get on last night the game was too tight to make a midfield change. From the bench i thought cove did deserve the points but EE did create some good chances. Epsom were not as good as i thought they would be and are actualy quite a small side apart from the centre backs.i had heard they were a big side who bully teams. . . . . . ???

They do break well and the wingers caused us some problems. think the manner of the first goal EE scored knocked the wind out of cove and if not for that would have gone on to win the game and bad defending for the second goal. At 2 1 cove should have extended their lead but failed to take a number of chances.

Still think Cove will be challenging for the title if Koo plays me . . . . !!!!

Seriously tho Epsom, Cove, befont green, cambo and NGU will all challenge its who can put together 5 or 6 wins on the spin will win the league.

 

Cove have dropped 7 points in 3 games and still in the hunt!!

Tight at the bottom aswell mate. Our old team struggling a bit. Hartley Wintney are almost certainly down unless Pete Gray can muster some players from somewhere and perform a miracle. A bad run of results from any one of 9 teams and it could be a tight finish. Who knows what will happen with ups and downs this year.
