Sad News

It is with regret that I report the passing of long standing Rebels fan Vic Clements this morning. Vic, who has been watching the Rebels for over eighty years, fell ill just after Christmas and sadly lost his battle this morning.

Many of you will have encountered Vic at some point in your time following the Rebels, perhaps without knowing him. A true Rebel in every sense, Vic would always be at the games, home and away, and never let the referee forget a mistake from the side of the ground. A passionate supporter of the team for all his time watching them, the Slough support will sorely miss his presence at future games.

I'm sure you will all join me in passing my condolonces onto Vic's family with his boys both regular attendees at the games.

Such sad news. He was a great bloke and we always had a good laugh together normally at the referees expense. My condolences to his wife, and his sons Paul and Mark. Going to watch Slough won't be the same again. Rest in peace Vic.

Truly sad news to hear that Vic has lost his battle for life.

He was a bigger than life character who always spoke his mind.

I will certainly miss his booming calls of 'Cmon Slough' and 'Bloody Octopus' to opposing players.

A one off character and loyal Slough supporter who will be sadly missed.

My sincere condolences to his Wife and his Sons Paul and Mark.

Rest in peace Vic.

Deepest sympathy. A real character who will be sadly missed ,a real rebel whose voice was always to support the team. I was told by Roger immediately before the Beaconsfield game and then by Mark of Vic's illness and it is so sad to learn of his passing . Condolences to Mark and all the family. Kevin McCabe.

Sad news indeed. Having stood either with or near Vic over many years it won't be the same in that area of the ground. I'm sure linesmen & referees will join me in agreement!

Condolences to Paul the Heavy Trucker & the rest of Vic's family.

Heavy Trucker I have only just read this thread and am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Your Dad was a great character with alot of personality, on the sidelines giving the team plenty of verbal encouragement and the Opposition, Refferee's, and Linesman plenty of verbal stick. Supporting the Rebel's through thick and thin over many years he will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
