Makes sense, but you have to ask also-why were they signed in the first place ?

 

Is there not a bit more'care' taken that players signed will be good enough.

 

Are players watched before they are signed?

I think you are right-although if they were'nt 'captured' in the first instance;they can hardly be 'released';but i think thats the newspaper using dubious wording.

 

I still wonder whether more care should be taken to see 'who will be 'up to the marque'-these guys did play for the team` with minimal impact;when perhaps someone who had been carefully watched-could have made more impact.

 

No-one's fault, but a bit unfortunate when vital first team matches have to be used to 'look at players' like a pre-season friendly !

 

I guess overall, i'm suggesting quality is more important than quantity

In an ideal world, yes Michael. However, we are not really in a position to be choosy. Players will come and go. If 50 per cent of them are perceived as 'hits' TY will be doing well.

Its highly obvious getting Dryden is/was more of a possibility,
However,financial gain will be a big part of his decision I'm sure,so that will rule out both Thanet clubs.
Dryden,the one that couldn't be persuaded. Bailey,the one to have taken up the challenge.

Disagree Tony,we have just signed on a 18 year old on a full time contract who has just left Gillingham.As i say Ramsgate have given Jack Delo to FIFC untill the end of the season on loan, with maybe Dryden coming this way.Who Knows?
