It's convenient for the league officials that the re-arranged game has been delayed again to make way for our League Cup fixture versus Hornchurch on the 10th.

 

Heybridge were ready to announce their decision about a week after the abandoned game, but they were advised not to by the league. If Swifts end up "holding the baby" again after all this time it will be a farce.

 

A cynic might suggest that someone thinks that the longer it's left the more palatable any decision will be, and unfortunately there's probably some truth in that. Delays also increase the chances of the old tickets being "mislayed".
