Ground Grading

Recommended Posts

The nail on the head TSF, at the time they wanted a senior team under their banner and with SCR they now have one.

Yes for Bookham it would have been the obvious choice but as I said thing did not go as we had wished and no we did not miss a trick but could not come to an agreement which was acceptable to both sides.

If eligible we would then look at providing covered standing at some point during the summer.

Just wanted to get some sort of idea how these facilities would compare with others in the league and those applying to join.

As far as E&E are concerned, Merland Rise is temporary and the club fully intend to return to the Borough. Other locations outside of the Borough have not been considered for that reason, River Lane included.

There were two massive set backs in the 90's with planning permission being denied and land sold to another organisation, but in recent years we have have some excellent dialogue with E&E council and we are optimistic of a ground of our own in the near future.

As for Promotion this year, Merland Rise was a Rymans Div 1 Ground 3 years ago and we are looking at what needs to be done, if anything, with the landlords.

We have a dymo numbering gun reading and waiting...

Considering MVP had a good senior team (with a dodgy manager, mind you...) and scrapped it, and two years later do it all over again with a Sutton based team...I find that all a bit @rse about face...

I have a message for TSF from someone who really doesnt want to register on here. He says and I quote "Dorking would fail the step 4 grading due to their grassbanks. Secion 2.3 of the 'E' grade."

I'll pass your comment to RC, Kroons, though I fail to see your 'friends' point !!
