Daniel

Frimley Green:

Lights - yes

Seats - no

Covered Standing - yes although squeeze 50 in and a few would not be able to see one end!

Fixed barrier all way round and tarmac on three sides.

I can confirm that Eversley have applied.

We are currently finshing our new ground and hope to have post and rail, hard standing, dugouts etc in place in the near future.

We are then hoping to finish high enough in the league to be eligible for promotion.

If eligible we would then look at providing covered standing at some point during the summer.

Just wanted to get some sort of idea how these facilities would compare with others in the league and those applying to join.

I suggest you go to warlingham, worcester park, farnham, dorking and south park.

first two unlikely to progress and warlingham may have to go down.

farnham not allowed to go up on technicality, ridiculous.

Dorking- ryman standard at least, apart from floodlights this week.

South Park , great progress andan example of what can be done in the right circumstances and with support.

Mole Valley - havent been there yet so cant comment, believe they have lights though

Hanworth - Think they just need a covered standing area and ok for CC Prem, they've done a good job there

Staines - need lights + other work

Worcester Park - need lights + other work

Knaphill - decent setup however no lights or seats at present but plenty of room to do so. most importantly no bar though!

Dorking - all fine for an 18th century ground

Sheerwater - have got everything except lights , well lights that work on the pitch. could be a good set up there

Farnham - need more seats

Warlingham - see previous post

CB Hounslow - no lights

Westfield - 30,000 all seater stadia with undersoil heating

Crescent - no lights

Farleigh - lights and seats needed, potential here to be ok

Feltham - bedfont fc

Frimley green - need seats

Coulsdon - never been

South Park - just need seats. loads of room and a great example

Chobham - if chobham are allowed to stay in the league than anyone can

Just a note on us at Westfield, we passed the ground grading inspection last march so it can be done. temp seating brought in and someone stuck 2 poles in the ground with a small iron roof behind the goal. How it passed i do not know !!

Yes I do, when Bookham get promoted Im sure the millionaire villagers will pay enough in ground hire fees to allow DFC to restore the ground to its former glories, when it was hosting Southern league games in front of thousands against Wimblydon and Barnet just before they joined the Football League, in the 18th century.

We still get four figure attendances these days, me, you, BJR and the council inspector.

Teffs when I look at the lists that are being posted on here it makes me wonder where this ground share buisness is going, now i know your team shares with Dorking but what is the CCL stipulation for you and getting your own ground,is this just a never ending thing or is there a time limit,by the looks of it some of these teams are ready for the CCL Prem with thier own facilities p.s.I know you are not the only team who shares just wondered if you as somebody I know could tell me.

Hi Dunc's,

When we went into the original groundshare with Dorking we did so for what we had then thought would only be for 3 years (option for a 4th year, Dorking knew and know of our clubs long term plans) we had hope things would have been different and by now we would have had our "own" ground, things did not go as we had wished.

When we spoke to the league regarding our ground share no length of time was given for us to stay there but they knew of our plans at the time, this has not changed and as a club, long term we want our own ground.

We have a good friendship with Dorking and expect to be there for the foreseeable future. This arrangement also helps Dorking Financially so it is a 2 way thing.

By the way, I know Epsom and Ewell are still hunting high and low for a ground of their own and they have been at Banstead for something like 15+ years, Bedfont Green have plans for their own ground and in a few years that will be sorted (Green pea can advise I'm sure) not sure what Badshot Lea's plans are so wont comment on them, but am sure all clubs who groundshare would like a ground of their own.

well done MVSCR.

Is it possible Bookham could have done that at River Lane anytime in the last few years? Or Epsom and Ewell? or both together?

Im sorry for the clubs and the guys therein but these two clubs dont have a cat in hells chance of sorting a ground in there own locality. Bookham's case is even dafter they have their own ground.

the league rules say no permanent groundshares further up the leagues they are even stricter. Look at Horsham's predicament.

What will the Rymans view be if E+E win the title?

Yes I suppose both clubs could have gone in there TSF but Bookham did not want to lose their identity which is what it would have meant and they did not believe we are billionaires grin and Epsom are trying to move back into their own borough not further away !!!

"but Bookham did not want to lose their identity which is what it would have meant "

Thats interesting, Teflon, how would that have happened? Were Predators looking to amalgamate, as seems to have happened with MVSCR?

Looking at the geography from a Dorking and personal perspective Bookham would be better placed to retain its identity at River Lane, and joining the two clubs (Bookham and predators) with their youth structures and local grounds school links history etc would have been good for both clubs and the community.

Instead we have a new club in the area giving more competition for players supporters and sponsorship, and Bookham still sharing at Meadowbank which I don't think is good for either club long term.

Bookham might have missed a trick there?

To be honest Im not too fussed about the Epsom/Banstead thing apart from the CCL should probably define permanent in the rules or delete that bit, 15 years with no sign of the RAC club letting them on the lawns or flattening Tattenham Corner is permanent to me.
