From someone posting on another thread i gather some WEFC fans travel some distance to stag meadow.

It would be good to know from supporters, how far do you travel and who travels the furthest and who is the closest. If you travel a long way why do you do it ?

As for me i live about 4 miles from the ground and it takes me 15 minutes in my car,easy!

I think you will find most Windsor fans at some point lived in or very close to Windsor. Once you have your team you don't just throw it away because you are a few miles away, it is your team and that is that. Personally i travel about 2 miles as I live very close but I have lived 20 or 30 odd miles away but still travelled the distance to watch the games. Why would someone travel a long distance, well the club is your club and the people there are your people, so you just do.Most fans love their club and always will regardless of how well or poorly the team does does and who is in charge, love him or hate him. You can take the lad out of Windsor.....

It is a long and emotional journey.

We must first attempt to smash down the walls we each build around ourselves,using only the brittle twig of our own self perception.

For these walls are both a sanctuary and a confinement.

A paradise and a prison.

Then we must tread warily,avoiding the footfalls of the fallen.

Watching and learning.

But never judging.

However,i live in Slough,so it's a ten minute drive for me.

I disagree, let's hear that tale in all its tragic glory. It could serve as a moral chart for all ages.

I walk a similar route by the sound of it, but I have to skip all three pubs on the way because I'm usually late even without liquid assistance.

The way back is sometimes another matter.

I live in cippenham so its about 4 miles, 15 mins by car.

Or by public transport 2 trains and a fair walk or two buses and

again a bit of a walk so its a pain if my car is out.

Still hoping to move to windsor but A) the property market is

slow and B) Everything is so expensive in windsor.

Lol I think you're right Woody i have to be a contender for the closest! Yet strangely i'm somehow always late....

confused

i've been in my back garden before now heard the whistle and shouts of "Come on windsor" followed by my brain going "bugger i'm late again....."

It would be wholly inappropriate for me to comment on the reasons why Burton-Groves is such a bitter and vindictive individual.

So I will.

Apparently,plans were well underway for a film of his life story. The working title of this epic was to have been;

"The Elephant man 2....The unacceptable face of society!!"

Unfortunately the film makers,Walt Disney,pulled the plug after the lead role,Bugs Bunny,stormed off the set saying;

"The character was too stupid,and that plot was just ridiculous!! I'm a serious actor! This would have ruined my reputation!!!"

Daffy Duck gave it a swerve as well.
