For the second game in sucsession Cobham were denied possible points (cue Mick T type rant!!) by bad decisions from the officials (mainly the assistant).

 

After a terrible pen decision against Guildford last week (as agreed in the press by their manager, which cost us a point), we were on the end of no less than 3 this week, including an even worse pen decision, after having drawn level early in the second half.

 

When you have players (inc the one on the end of the tackle), management and fans from both sides in agreement that a last ditch tackle took place a good 2 yards outside the box only for the linesman to overrule the ref and say it was it the box, you do have to wonder where we get some of these officials from.

 

It was even harder to take after an awful offside call from the same assistant had led to Molesey taking the lead soon after we had equalised (was interesting to hear after that said assistant had a link with one of the Molesey youth teams!!).

 

Don't wish to take anything away from Molesy who under Webby and Pete have a good side and will be up there come the season end, but when you're in need of the points it makes it even harder to accept!!

The foul from your number 2 was ridiculous... and from behind the goal it looked it in the area but it was difficult because the frost on the pitch made the line hard to see!

The offside... I'm not so sure, when the ball was looped into the air your defense was running out of the box, whilst Moses was running into it.

both decisions were close imo, you were just unlucky that they both went against you

No complaints about the foul EM and the subsequent red, but he made it the knowledge he would only give away a freekick as it was outside the box. Even your forward who was fouled said it wasn't inside along with other players who were close.

 

It wasn't only the line the frost made hard, but the rest of the pitch!!

 

Well the assistant said he thought it had come off our defender when questioned in the clubhouse...quite where that happened when the ball was looped back in is anyones guess!!

 

You can say that again, we had a perfectly good goal disallowed when our forward simply outjumped your keeper when he misjudged the bounce off the frozen ground, only to have a foul given against him, yet when I tried to claim the corner from which you scored your 3rd, only to have an attacker trying to get on my shoulders and stopping me, that was adjudged to be ok!

 

It was a joke come the end and hard to accept esp as I only had one meaningfull save to make the whole game yet somehow conceeded 4!!
