Joseph Frimpong got Woods winner, his debut 1st team goal for a Woods side missing several key players.

Important win though CWUFC officials were surprised the game went ahead!

what I can't work out Kroons is how comes Baggy Lea game gets the green light and our pitch which is basically in the same street gets a red light, both teams were willing to play and your mate says no,we had numerous people turn up to watch the game(including your manager GP)and all were of the opinion the game should at least have started,I personally have played on much harder surfaces(even at Camberley)when I was a player, felt sorry for the Greenford players and officialis and supporters and can only apolagise for a wasted journey. If this is [****!!****] stirring good.

Tell you what Duncs. Should have got someone in earlier to have a quick look at it !!!

Farnborough's pitch and Cove's pitch may be in the same street but in terms of quality they are light years apart smile

Now now Duncs. I had heard Tom had left but was told the wrong club. Good Luck to him I think he is a decent player.

I know Duncs, he phoned me from Oak Farm to tell me not to bother travelling smile I stayed at Egham Leisure Centre instead and watched one of our teams from our AFC section get stuffed in the Surrey County Cup by a team full of ringers mad

To be fair though mick, as much as the pitches might be hard in the summer they certainly aren't like an ice rink whereas they could be in weather like yesterday.

I went to watch Corinthian Casuals v Whyteleafe and whilst the officials and players coped well with the conditions i felt the game was hampered due to the hard, slippery pitch.

agree EG i just think a lot of refs are too quick to call games off, the farnborough pitch yesterday was hard but not icy but when the ref got there i got the distinct impression that he wanted to call it off but because both teams agreed that the pitch was playable he just seemed to go with the flow and it was the right decision in the end.
