Thats annoying, at least it's probably the best game to have moved to a Tuesday!

Cirencester's win over Uxbridge was the only result from today, and we move down one place to 15th. Windsor vs Gosport was abandonded at half time due to a frozen pitch, which makes me wonder if it was fit to start in the first place!

It looked reasonable, minimal visible frost, and from what I heard from the players it was a bit crunchy underfoot but playable... A pity, because it was a pretty closely-fought game and Gosport were certainly up for continuing. However at least one of the linesmen apparently found it too slippery to run the line...

I agree with Wiz. It was remiss of Sweetman not to have arranged a friendly in order to keep the players fit. Burnham had a match postponed today too, so he should have arranged a friendly with them.

You were lucky. we travelled all of the way to Bridgewater only to be told on arival the game was off. Not bad, a 250 mile round trip, 5 hours on the road all due to an incompetent local referee.

Why blame the ref. Yes, it is his decision, but it is the clubs responsibility to call a ref in to inspect the pitch at an appropriate time so not to inconvinience the clubs.

 

Think how Truro felt, gettng all the way to Thatcham and then having the game caled off.
