The Pitch

Recommended Posts

Just popped down and had a look at the pitch.

The London Road side will be fine.

The Blunts Wall Road End goalmouth was covered overnight and that should be fine.

Unfortunately the Blunts Wall Road End doesn't get any sun and the pitch that side was still hard and frosty.

I guess we have to hope that as the temperture climbs this will thaw over the next three hours or so. I think our best chance of getting a game will be by leaving any inspection until the last moment. I know that won't help any travelling supporters but I'm missing my footy.

There really isn't anything that can be done - short of installing undersoil heating or knocking down the blunts wall end stand (and trees) to let that part of the pitch get some light! Neither of which is practical in the next couple of hours wink

Fingers crossed I guess...
