Here you go fellas, here is your very own golf thread to talk about the mis shots and holes in one between yourselves and not create a clique that excludes those who are logging in to chat about ETFC.

 

What would be great is if you guys created a ETFC golf society that can contribute to a worthy charity or indeed ETFC itself.

 

I'm with Mbruno on this one.

No golf today due to illness & parties being overseas.

A golf society is a good idea EU, however I fear there are too few refind characters at the club to make that work & would probaly be too much exercise & enjoyable banter for certain miserable gits!

 

Mind you there would probaly be a bit of a queue at the cafe beforehand! evil Then again if they have to pay probaly not!

A golf thread...great idea!

Given ETFC's early season form the golf scores were the only ones worth mentioning.

Arrived back from Tasmania today...you blokes would love it there....3 degrees celsius in the middle of summer...four seasons in every day.

But back to golf...this will sound like its in code but Gazza and the hardy few will know what its about...mate of mine shot an 82 off a 25 handicap, while I was away, at the Wagga Wagga Country Club(Par 72) to rack up 50 stableford points. The stewards have called for a swab!

Well normality returned today to get 2009 off to a cracking start.

Scores all level as we drive off down the 525 yard 5th, three decent drives just short of the stream, we wander up & The Hat takes his Tiger stance, swings his fairway driver & makes good contact, the ball sets off like an exorcet then whacks against a piece of 4" x 2" on the bridge over the stream & comes flying back past him to land about 30 yards behind him!!

He then takes his Tiger stance again only to fluff his shot & put the ball straight in the stream!!

Once Rock Steady & I had stopped rolling around the fairway we carried on! evil

A beautiful morning here in the Cambridgeshire countryside, just setting off to meet up in the cafe, The Hat is back today so its a 100% attendance, perfect start to the weekend.........so c'mon Town dont spoil it, 3 points please! excited
