Slough Town v Beaconsfield SYCOB

Draw was a fair result but if i had to drop one of our front men it would be dj as he has been underperforming and maybe needs a rest as he has played a lot more than the rest. Thought bubb was outstanding winning the pen and the only one not afraid to shoot no matter how ludicris the shots were

Under-performing as far as goals scored but his link-up play, covering in midfield and defence has been exceptional.

The forward imo who has been of the boil in the last few games has been Romeo and if we had top drop anyone of the three it would be him.

I thought Platty and Allaway were immense against Beaconsfield and only because of the one defensive error Allaway made for their equalising goal I would give the MoM to Platt.

I thought Beaconsfield should have won. It was a bit like the Thatcham game but in reverse, with the opposition having the better of the first half. They should probably have scored three or four times to put the game to bed. We did have a better second half though and in the end it was a shame we couldn't hold out for the win, but I think SYCOB are very well organised and play to their strengths extremely well.

I'd have liked fewer long balls, especially given the height in their defence as they dealt with that easily. They also looked a threat from set pieces whereas we looked succeptible.

Hope we can see a consistently good 90 minutes tomorrow against Burnham.

Not sure about that. Beaconsfield certainly had the better of the first half but in the second half we were the better team and could of scored 2/3 goals - Jordans one on one with their keeper, two last ditch tackles that prevented possible goals and the one that hit the bar.

Fair result imo was a draw.

Still not sure what to make of yesterdays game.

As if SYCOB are a promotion seeking team they failed to live up to that rating with Bubb being the only real threat. That was due to his pace against our still embrionic defence who are still getting caught out on brakes and dont have a clue at marking for set pieces - how many have been conceded this way - too many and it has cost us points big time - how many times have we snatched a draw from the hands of a win?

The lucky Bubb penalty and a circus own goal were gifts that kept us in the game as we are back to passing the ball along the edge of the box, with no one having the balls to shot.

There was too much hit and hope with lobbing the ball up field and hopeing that we would get "seconds" - which seldom happened.

The times when the ball was passed with control up the field we looked menacing but the finishing is not there.

The mid-field is starting to get some better shape but requires DJ to contantly drop back to support and then leaves us weak up front.

As for Bubb's "shots" they were a total waste of time as he is far from being as good as he thinks he is.

Where is Tom Attrell? - has he fallen out with the management or does he not fit in with the dressing room klick?

Our bench needs to learn from Jarvis as all I could hear was him shouting out orders and our bench shouting out "seconds".

Another draw tomorrow will not be good enough - a win is required or changes need to be considered.

I was stood under the cover all game so saw the chances Beaconsfield missed which were far easier and greater in number than ours in the second half. They also missed at least two in the second as well. That was very much a point gained given the respective chances of both teams.

This has become a joke now, shouting out seconds before the ball has even touched down from a goalkeepers kick.

Changes ?
Players or management ?

Guest Dinner Lady

Perhaps by shouting seconds, the bench mean they want some more food brought out.Or are they refering to themselves as always coming second ?

To be perfectly frank i only came on the site today to see if the game was on and then thought i would have a quick look at the forum as there was no game to go to , but now its time for another break ! Its just too predictable & dull , oh were back to talking about our management again ! ............ Seconds !! ( WINCE ) ............ Eton Wick here we come ! :-(
